RB's Stage 32 News, Notes, Discussions, and Other Fun Stuff (April 11th, 2014)

Posted by Richard "RB" Botto

Hello all. Happy Weekend.

Let's get at it, shall we?

In entertainment news, one of the most controversial items this past week involves a cross-complaint filed by production company True Crime against actress Anne Greene. Greene had filed a complaint two years ago claiming she was bullied into performing nude scenes, sexually harassed, and placed in a dangerous work environment. True Crime claims Greene violated the "Nudity Rider" she signed before appearing on set. This story is listed first under ENTERTAINMENT NEWS below. Love to get your take on the matter.

Other stories this week, 90% of the summer films scheduled for this year were directed by white males, NBC has solicited their viewers to suggest better sitcom ideas (yup), despite a string of flops, Sony nails down some huge financing, the horse's head house from The Godfather is on the market for a cool 135M, and we have a look at the life of the great Mickey Rooney as well as the escalating fight over his estate.

I also have 36 of the most interesting and popular Lounge discussions on the site right now including 5 terrific Stage 32 Success Stories. I've also listed 9 planned and proposed Stage 32 Meetups.

In the VIDEOS section, I have trailers of the new movies from Gia Coppola, Zach Braff, and one starring Nic Cage.

Finally, you'll find screenwriting, acting, and cinematography guides in the TIPS section.

Feel free to discuss any and all in the Comments area below.

Enjoy and have a terrific weekend.
