Welcome to the weekend, everyone. Hope you all had a terrific week.

In this edition of the Weekend Blog under ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: Martin Scorsese lists his 85 “must see” movies (feel free to discuss in the Comments section); all the film which inspired the top filmmakers at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival; Harvey Weinstein sounds off; Blackmagic announces a slew of new cameras at NAB; Hollywood is warming to the idea of catering to more to mature audiences; a look at the legacy of Goodfellas; female directors are still getting no respect according to a new study; big theater chains are under federal scrutiny; streaming overtakes live TV as the viewing preference of choice; the British are coming to Broadway and much, much more.

Some terrific items under VIDEOS this week as well including Francis Ford Coppola’s notebook for The Godfather, a video essay on the works of David Fincher and a very funny satire on the state of women and ageism in Hollywood starring Tina Fey, Amy Schumer, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Patricia Arquette.

Under TIPS, a ton of acting, screenwriting, filmmaking, cinematography, composing and film law information.

Once again, we had a record breaking week for posts in the Stage 32 Lounge. I have some of the very best conversations under POPULAR AND INTERESTING LOUNGE DISCUSSIONS.

Our educational offerings continue to shine and we couldn’t be more proud of the responses we’ve been getting from the community. The slate continues to be stronger than ever as we bring in the best of the best to host and instruct the community. You can see what offerings are coming up under STAGE 32 EDUCATION.

Our new Meetups section continues to get more populated. I’ve listed all the Meetups happening around the world (I’ll be at one tonight!) under STAGE 32 MEETUPS.

And finally, it was another busy week around the neighborhood. To get caught up on all the recent site happenings, check out STAGE 32 NEWS.

As always, I welcome remarks and debate on any of the content below in the Comments section.

Hope you all have a fantastic and creative weekend!
