Welcome to the weekend, everyone.

It’s been quite a week here at Stage 32. We’ve had thousands of new members join the site and our success stories have been accelerating at a staggering rate. We highlighted quite a few of them earlier this week on the blog. You can view them here. Our congratulations to all who have found success through Stage 32.

Speaking of success, our dear friend David Rountree, premieres his film CUT! tonight in Hollywood. David used 30 Stage 32 members on his film after using 23 Stage 32 members for his previous film 108 Stitches. On Sunday, we’ll be holding a special screening for CUT! For Stage 32 members which will be followed by a panel and a Stage 32 Meetup. Here’s the details.

This weekend on the blog, I have a full slate of entertainment news, Stage 32 happenings, tips and videos.

Taking the last category first, under VIDEOS, I have a must watch film on the films and career of Stanley Kubrick. Whether you’re a film creative or a cinefile, you do not want to miss this one. Also under this category, you’ll find a 5 minute look at the Coen Brothers, Oscar nominees sharing the best advice they’ve ever received and the trailers for season 2 of Silicon Valley and Cameron Crowe’s new one, Aloha.

Under ENTERTAINMENT NEWS this week, the gloves are off in the Best Picture Oscar race. As Birdman gains stream, Boyhood is coming under attack. Also in that section: Multiple articles tracing the sales and action at the Berlin Film Festival; industry experts ring in on the current state of distribution; Amy Pascal speaks out on her dismissal from Sony; the 75 best edited films of all time (love the top choice…top 3 choices, actually); a study regarding the lack of films with female leads while… the number of female directors at SXSW rises; the 10 best U.S. cities to live if you’re a filmmaker; Larry David hits the Great White Way and much, much more.

Also, under TIPS, I have some 411 on filmmaking, producing, DSLR documentary filmmaking, acting and screenwriting.

Under STAGE 32 SUCCESS stories, more of the aforementioned tales of triumph. Under STAGE 32 NEWS, all the latest and greatest happening around the network. Under STAGE 32 MEETUPS, all the get-togethers happening around the globe. And under POPULAR AND INTERESTING LOUNGE DISCUSSIONS, some of the most commented on and intriguing conversations and content posted over the last few weeks.

I’m feeling good about all of this…How about you?

As always, I welcome thoughts, remarks and constructive debate on any and all this material in the Comments section below. I also ask that you share this blog with your creative peers either via social media or email. Thanks in advance.

I hope you all have a fabulous and creative weekend. Much love.
