RB's Stage 32 News, Notes, Discussions and Other Fun Stuff (November 28th, 2014)

Posted by Richard "RB" Botto
Welcome to the weekend, everyone.

It may be a holiday weekend here in the states, but that doesn’t mean we’re not bringing the content.  Let’s get right to it, shall we?

Some articles that caught my eye this week:  The Wrap lists the 19 biggest box-office bombs and bummers of 2014, the independent spirit awards were announced (alright Birdman!), a couple of fantastic pieces on director Mike Nichols including a look at his 7 best film scenes, Clint Eastwood’s film American Sniper may have Oscar challenges that go beyond what’s on the screen, the female Oscar race is wide open, a look at the most powerful authors in Hollywood, the new Star Wars trailer debuts this weekend, Netflix makes more waves in the original content game, Rent goes to the land of Castro, and much, much more.

Plus, under TIPS, I have documentary filmmaking, screenwriting, film finance and mobile app advice and suggestions.

Under VIDEOS it’s 3 new trailers.  Does Jennifer Anniston truly deserve Oscar consideration for Cake?  Watch the vid and see for yourself.

It was another great week for many members of the Stage 32 community.  Get inspired by perusing the STAGE 32 SUCCESS STORIES section.

And finally, I have all the latest and greatest STAGE 32 NEWS, POPULAR AND INTERESTING LOUNGE DISCUSSIONS, and all the STAGE 32 MEETUPS happening around the globe.

Sit back, loosen the waistband and enjoy the material.  As always, I welcome remarks on any of the content in the Comments section below.

Have a fabulous weekend!
