RB's Stage 32 News, Notes, Discussions and Other Fun Stuff (October 17th, 2014)

Posted by Richard "RB" Botto
Happy weekend, all.  An an Introduce Yourself Weekend to boot.

I have some terrific articles under ENTERTAINMENT NEWS this week including a look at the $6,000 indie phenomenon, Layover.  For everyone who has ever wanted to take matters into their own hand and film a feature on a budget, this is a must read.

Other stories I followed this week include a look at how women could influence the Oscar race, a look back at Pulp Fiction 20 years later, all sorts of streaming and distribution news including HBO's decision to offer stand alone streaming service, an interesting analysis as to why two certain films and Broadway shows were hits while two others were not, TV agents sound off, Sharon Waxman waxes poetic, 10 things you need to know about the historic best foreign film Oscar race and much, much more.

Plus, under TIPS, I have distribution, acting, voice acting and screenwriting articles.  And under VIDEOS, three must see trailers.

I also have all the latest and greatest Stage 32 Success Stories, Lounge discussions and Stage 32 Meetups happening all across the globe including one I'll personally be hosting down at the Austin Film Festival.

Hopefully all this will carry you through the weekend!  And, as always, feel free to discuss any and all of this content in the Comments section below.  I welcome your thoughts!
