RB's Stage 32 News, Notes, Discussions and Other Fun Stuff (October 31st, 2014)

Posted by Richard "RB" Botto
Welcome to the weekend, everyone.
Over the last few months, we’ve been covering the progress of the investigation into the death of Sarah Jones on the Midnight Rider set.  This week there were some bombshell revelations.  I have the details under ENTERTAINMENT NEWS.
Also under ENTERTAINMENT NEWS:  A look at the narratives that doom Oscar movies, two looks at Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar and its impact on the Oscar race, why Hollywood is going Halloween free this year, an interview with Boardwalk Empire creator Terence Winter (so sad to see it go), why the American sitcom is all but dead, what’s new on Netflix in November, more information on the release date for Orson Welles final film, a look back at Young Frankenstein, movie chains say “No” to wearable devices, Bogie and Bacall’s kid does noir, and much, much more.
Plus, under TIPS, I have a must read article by my friend, producer Dean Silvers called 5 Mistakes You’ll Make in the Film and TV Business (and How to Avoid Them).  My thanks to Dean for mentioning Stage 32 in the piece!  I also have acting, set lighting and playwriting information.
Under VIDEOS, I have 4 trailers including the Weinstein/Netflix collaboration Marco Polo.
And finally, under STAGE 32 NEWS, STAGE 32 MEETUPS, POPULAR AND INTERESTING LOUNGE DISUCUSSIONS and, of course, STAGE 32 SUCCESS STORIES, I have all the latest and greatest happenings in and around the site.
To those celebrating, have a Happy Halloween.  For those not, have a creative weekend!
