A couple of weeks ago, I made a post here speaking to the next phase of Stage 32. Our plan was to introduce new opportunities and educational features and events into the community.
This past weekend, we had the first phase of The Stage 32 Creativefest: The Stage 32 and Happy Writers Online Pitchfest. It was a rousing success. Eight managers and producers heard over 200 pitches from Stage 32 screenwriters. Every one of them left their session blown away not only with the quality of ideas, but the professionalism of the pitches. In the end, 104 scripts were requested. Now the reading begins. For all those who pitched, you did a phenomenal job. And for all who have had scripts requested, I wish you the very best with the next step.
Many of you have written asking whether we will be running anther Online Pitchfest. The answer is yes. We have more managers and executives who are looking for material lined up. We'll be announcing more soon.
This coming weekend, The Stage 32 Creativefest continues with The Stage 32 and Happy Actors Actorfest. This is also a two day event. You can perform a two minute monologue or scene of your choosing and receive feedback from the likes of talent manager, Spencer Robinson (ArtWork Entertainment), casting director, Valorie Massalas (Chaplin, Annie, Back to the Future, The Client List), producer, Howard Rosenman (Father of the Bride, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, discovered Julia Roberts), and casting director, Ty Harman (90210, Generation Kill, Warehouse 13).
Like the Online Pitchfest, Actorfest spots are filling up quickly. To avoid being shut out, please reserve your spots now.
Now were ready to take things to the next level.
