My love for working with the camera started in Junior High when my dad gave me his Ansco 35mm rangefinder still camera. After college I moved to Los Angeles to try to break in to the film industry. I worked my way up through the ranks of the camera department starting as a loader on low budget features and shorts. I moved up to union TV, features and commercials as a camera assistant and Digital Imaging Technician. As a Director of Photography, or more accurately, Director of Imaging, most of my shooting credits have come from independent projects originating on Super8, 16mm and 35mm film as well as “prosumer” camcorders, DSLRs and professional cameras like RED and Alexa. My goal is to partner with visionary people who want to create quality cinematic projects regardless of the acquisition format.
