About Kelvin

Since 2005 Kelvin has been researching the life of Wales' first Hollywood star, Gareth Hughes. Kelvin, has been to the states on three separate occasions to interview people who knew Gareth.

As a result of Kelvin's research a documentary was made about Gareth called "In Search of Gareth Hughes". The documentary has won numerous awards here in the UK and Internationally. And Kelvin has been interviewed many times here in the UK and US on the subject.

Kelvin has also made a documentary about the 1911 railway riots/strike in Llanelli West Wales. Where two bystanders were shot by the British army during the strike!

In April 2012 Carmarthen Bay Film Festival was founded by Kelvin.

The festival was held for the first time in Llanelli,Carmarthenshire, the home town of Wales' very first Hollywood film Gareth Hughes. The festival is very much the champion of the independent film maker and cinema in the UK! Carmarthen Bay Film Festival was one of the first festivals to sign up to UFFO code of conduct of which Kelvin is the Wales committee chair.

Kelvin is also a member of BAFTA Cymru and regular judge for them.
