Chelsea Komschlies received her masters in classical music composition at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2015. Her music has been performed across the United States as well as in Canada, France, Italy, Japan, and Australia. She has studied with composition faculty hailing from the United States' top music institutions at various summer festivals, including the Fresh Inc Festival, Wintergreen Summer Music Festival, Atlantic Music Festival, Cortona Sessions for New Music, and was one of three young composers in the country invited to participate in the 2014 Lake Champlain Chamber Music Festival's Young Composers Seminar. Komschlies plans to continue her formal studies in classical composition as well as pursue opportunities in the realm of film composition. She is a synesthete, a visual artist, and lover of film, and is eager to create art that blends new and evocative musical techniques with the drama of image and story.
