Joshua Collinsworth

Joshua Collinsworth is a cinematographer and camera operator based in Los Angeles, California. He hails from Texas and began studying film and photography at a young age. While still an undergrad, he was awarded the distinguished VICA for his first short- which he wrote, filmed and directed. Joshua received his Bachelor of Science in Film & Television Production from Full Sail University. He graduated with honors where he was merited with Best Cinematography in his class.

He has experience in all genres of the industry- commercial, industrial, episodic, narrative, documentary and music video. He's been consistently employed in film and television for over 15 years locally and around the world. Josh has had the pleasure of working for the top television networks and movie studios- NBC, ABC, CW, FOX, LIFETIME, THE HISTORY CHANNEL, THE DISCOVERY CHANNEL, E! ENTERTAINMENT, BRAVO, WARNER BROS. and PARAMOUNT.

Joshua has worked with top noteworthy talent such as, " Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson on the docu-drama, "The Hero", C. Thomas Howell in the film, "Rape Kit", Rebecca Romjin on the television series, " Skin Wars", Howie Mandell on the comedy pilot, "H owie Do It", Larry King on the animated series for PBS, "Angelina Ballerina", Herman Cain, on the 2012 Presidential Campaign, Best Selling author Anne Rice in the documentary, " The Real Vampire Files", Khloé Kardashian on the reality television program, " Kocktails with Khloé," and Grammy Award winning Quincy Jones and multi-platinum artist Ludacris on the music video, Soul Bossa Nostra, among others.

A well rounded artist, he lends dimension to every project by thinking outside of the box. He is an innovative idea man whose understanding of cinematic language, camera movement and storytelling are cutting edge. His passion is to convey the director's vision and leave a profound effect on the audience.

Joshua's most recent accomplishment was winning the prestigious TELLY AWARD, for creative excellence in cinematography for 2017's, "Trial by Fire".
