We are excited to partner with screenwriter Pete Goldfinger for an exclusive writer retreat. Pete is a working feature and television writer in Hollywood who written several feature films for Lionsgate and Summit such as Jigsaw, which grossed over $100MM, Sorority Row, Piranha 3D, and has written and sold television shows to all major networks such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Medinah. 

He is offering a one-time deal to members of Stage 32 for a Writer Retreat at his cabin in Big Bear. Over the course of 3 days you will commit to a full-time writing mindset and Pete will serve as your personal mentor. Thorough exercises, writers groups and one-on-one work with your script, this is the perfect retreat to motivate you into bring out the best writer in you. 

Dates: Monday May 21 - Wednesday May 23

Location: Pete's personal home in Big Bear, CA. Address will be given upon signing up.

Staff: Pete Goldfinger, Brady Morphy (Pete’s T.A.), Chef (TBD!)

Retreat includes all food From Friday lunch to Sunday lunch.

Cost:

For shared room:

$825 per person 

For Master Bed Room with Private Bath (good for a couple or friends):

Schedule:

MONDAY

8AM: Leave for Big Bear from Pete’s house (carpool)

10:30: Arrive, get settled. TURN IN PHONES/INTERNET SHUT OFF

11:00: Meditation/discuss goals for weekend

12:30 Lunch

1-4: Work! Each student will have a 20 minute private with Pete during this time to pitch/brainstorm

4:30-5: Optional walk.

5:30 Working Cocktail Party/Screenplay Learning Games! PHONE RETURNED/INTERNET TURNED ON (you can continue to work if you like)

6:30: Dinner followed by a movie…

(during all these hours, Brady is available for questions, brainstorming)

You are welcome to stay up as late as you’d like but we will be starting again early.

TUESDAY

8AM: Coffee and bagels/quiet time

9: Work.* Each student will have a 20 minute private with Pete during this time.

TURN IN PHONES/INTERNET SHUT OFF

12:30 Lunch.

2-5:30 Work.* TURN IN PHONES/INTERNET SHUT OFF

5:30: Working Cocktail Party/Screenplay Learning Games! PHONES RETURNED/INTERNET TURNED ON (you can continue to work if you like)

6:30 Dinner followed by a movie.

WEDNESDAY

8AM: Coffee and bagels/quiet time

9: Work.* TURN IN PHONES/INTERNET SHUT OFF

12: Optional walk.

1: Lunch.

2: PETE WILL LEAVE AFTER LUNCH BUT…people are welcome to stay for the afternoon and into the evening!
