You asked for it and here it is – our first Horror/Suspense/Thriller Online Pitchfest of the year! Stage 32 and The Happy Writers are thrilled to bring you the first opportunity of 2014 to pitch your horror/suspense/thriller script or your reel to some of our favorite managers and producers looking for genre material. We’ve gathered some great executives who are looking to read in preparation for 2014 projects.

We have Zero Gravity Management, Hal Lieberman Company, Ghost House Pictures, Kailey Marsh Management and Productions, Jeremy Platt and Gavin Dorman on tap and we couldn't be more excited for you. We welcome all of our Stage 32 writers and filmmakers to pitch your scripts and reels to these extraordinary companies. Pitches can be done via Skype or, if you are unable to use Skype or unavailable at the time of the fest, can be submitted as a written or prerecorded pitch.

Romel Adam - Assistant to Head of Company, Ghost House Pictures

Romel is looking for horror/thriller features and TV pilots of all budget ranges.

Romel Adam has been with Ghost House for 5 years and works with Robert Tapert, Founder and Executive Producer of Ghost House Pictures. Ghost House Pictures was conceived in 2002 to produce feature films that would deliver great scares and offer horror fans a thrill ride experience. Executives at Ghost House include filmmaker/producer Sam Raimi, Producer Rob Tapert, and Executive Producer Joseph Drake.

Ghost House is known for producing horror films that premier #1 at the box office. They are in pre-production on the film adaptation of the massively successful video game, The Last of Us.

Before working at Ghost House, Romel was a reader for Joel Silver's (The Matrix) company. Romel is always on the look out for commercial and well-written genre scripts.

Damon Lane

Damon Lane - Producer,

Damon Lane has spent more than thirteen years in the film business, with concentrated experience in sales, finance and production. His career began at Capitol Films, working in film financing for 5 years before moving on to development and acquisitions, at a time when the company collaborated on such successful films as Lucky Number Slevin, Alpha Dog and Creep.

In 2005, Damon moved to the US and worked as an acquisitions consultant for Velvet Octopus and SC Films International. During his time there, the company sold and/or co-produced/financed eleven films, including Legion, S. Darko and The Romantics.

In 2009 Damon joined Zero Gravity Management as a manager/producer handling numerous writers and directors as well as developing and producing in-house projects for the fast growing Los Angeles, New York and London based entity. As a producer, Damon worked on Locked In, a thriller set in Boston with Ben Barnes, Sarah Roemer and Eliza Dushku. Currently, he has the project Churchill, set up with Sierra/Affinity for production in early 2015 with Kevin Spacey to star, The Shuddering by David Coggeshall with January Jones attached to star and Scott & Zelda with Isabel Coixet directing.

Jeremy Platt

Jeremy Platt - Owner/Manager, Jeremy Platt Management

Jeremy Platt is one of the most sought out managers in Hollywood repping some of the hottest up and coming and name genre writers and directors. Clients credits include The ABCs of Death, You're Next, Cheap Thrills, Autopsy, Cold in July, and Bellflower. Jeremy is also a Producer and credits include The Lords of Salem, Enter the Dangerous Mind and The Violent Kind. He is also the Co-Executive Producer of the web series spin off The Walking Dead. Before becoming a manager, Jeremy worked for producer Eric Kopeloff (Savages, Stranger than Fiction, Stay, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps). Jeremy is one of the most connected managers in Hollywood and is proficient is repping genre writers and genre directors.
