Hello - I'm Dan Weismayr. I compose original music for film and media.
Whether scoring for a visual project or writing a new collection of library music, I always aim to compose in ways that are inventive yet befitting to the idea at hand. Creative collaborations resonate with me greatly, which means that friendly and productive communication with clients is at the core of what I do - whatever the thematic drive behind a project is, I aim to help bring it to life with imaginative yet suitable music and sound palettes. An effective relationship between music and visual media, as well as between client and composer, can create wonderfully inspiring results, and this is what stimulates my work.
I hold a First Class BA Honours degree in Music Composition for Film & Media, as well as an Foundation degree in Music Production. I have composed scores for a range of visual media, including short films, animations, documentaries, visual art installations and dance performances, and have also successfully published and a number of instrumental library tracks.
