When I was 10 years old, I was overweight and everybody called me "Big Foot". And in order to help me gain confidence in myself and loose weight, my parents dragged me, kicking and screaming (ironically) to Karate classes.
For the first to second year, I hated it because my coach, whom happened to look like a big, mean version of Jonny Bravo, would always make me do pushups for the entire class. Until one day, my mom dropped me off early, and I happened to get a glimpse of the competition team in mid-practice. I saw these guys wearing all black and shiny uniforms; it was at that moment when I thought to myself, "I wanna be a Ninja."
So I stayed in that Martial Arts academy and practiced 7 days a week for the next 12 years, focussing primarily on my fighting skills. And it were these skills that eventually led me to winning 3 NBL World Championships.
Funny, but when I go visit home, they still call me "Big Foot".
