About Engin

The director was born in Akhisar, Manisa in November 1987. Düğüm (Node)is his first professional short-length movie. An undergraduate of International Affairs and a postgraduate of Politics and Economics, Poyraz also engages in Expert Training in the field of administrative sciences, photography and songwriting. Setting the cinema as his biggest ambition of his life, Poyraz desires to continue his directing experience with short- and feature-length movies.

Escape (2018)
Film (Crime, Drama and Mystery) Writer While he is taking a Syrian couple to the transfer point, the human trafficker Serdar receives a call from his superior and learns that the organization has been compromised. Serdar is driven by his struggle to see his daughter that his ex-wife won't let him see and by his love for his mother, as well as the thought of going to prison. So, he takes the Syrian couple hostage and takes refuge in his deceased old friend Ramiz's house, where he used to go to as a child in order to escape from his troubles. That night a decision will be made there.
