About the job

Creative Thinkers,

Let's connect. My company the Popcorn Trailer specializes in producing content. This now includes filming original programming content for television, film and web. At the moment, I'm building a team of freelance staff writers who can add creatively to our original programming shows in development. Genres of our shows include but not limited to drama, crime, thriller, comedy and documentary. We have a similar production industry model if you are familiar with the television business. However, it is important to understand that this is not a job, it is a freelance opportunity for creative thinkers who want to become apart of something special.

If you are a screen writer this a practical opportunity for you while pursing your other projects. A newly developed drama/crime series is our main focus. The duration of this particularly project is 6 episodes. There are several other series already in development including a film as well. Once completed, I have a production crew that has joined the team to bring these stories to life. It would be fine if the writer does not reside in the USA, as we will meet regarding projects through tools such as Skype and Google Hangouts. You must be able to communicate in English very well and professional in your presentation. This opportunity is for writing credit only, however as we grow and expand relationships with distributors of our content, you will grow. It's my job to keep the programming content in conversation. That's the magic of networking in the entertainment business.

The terms:

  • You would not share any information on the project to anyone until it's ready.
  • You understand 1TW Group owns the rights to the series.
  • You understand it's a non exclusive agreement (meaning; you can work on other projects and with anyone outside this project).
  • You understand your contribution to this particular project would give you on screen credit as a Staff Writer to the show.

Genre of Content:

Crime/ Drama

6 Episodes

Let me know if you would like to grow with us. This is not for everyone. If interested, apply and send sample scripts to info@info@popcorntrailer.com.com. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. I wish all the writers much success whether we work together or not.
