Logline: Martha, a remarried housewife in the early 1970s already has her eyes on husband #3, the next door neighbor and takes her frustration out on her children.

A single mother in the 70s, Martha, is in a transitional period in her life with her two young daughters. Ted, her husband, physically abuses her and has removed Martha (and her daughters) from her old, familiar home. Martha takes out her frustrations and continues the cycle of abuse with her children. She makes plans to run away and start a new life for her and her daughters with the next door neighbor, Stephen.

Stephen has been having an affair with Martha for the past few months and has been undergoing some marital strife of his own, Martha using such problems at home for her plans to leave Ted. It's not long, though, before Stephen's wife becomes pregnant, terminating Martha's plans for relief from her unhappy home.

The looping cycle of abuse in Martha's house continues.
