Producer for collaboration - a job post by James Hickey

About the job

I am a London-based short filmmaker looking to collaborate with an eager and enthusiastic producer that can come aboard a short film that is in early stages of pre-production.
 
I have been working as a VFX feature animator, my credits include Spiderman: Homecoming, Black Panther, Okja, Ghostbusters, Suicide Squad, The Jungle Book, The Lion King and Paddington. I have made several shorts in the past that have played in international festivals, and am now looking to get back into filmmaking after a hiatus to concentrate on VFX and parenthood.  I am also an optioned screenwriter, with two scripts optioned in the UK and LA.

I am looking for a producer who is able to share the load and source funding opportunities and is able to assist in putting together pitch packages etc.

This is an ambitious but fun short film; the script has been written and ready to being shooting. 

 Some experience would be recommended, but I am willing to hear those that have heart and ambition to make something special. Good communication and networking skills, along with a savvy head and common sense, will be considered.
 
It is my intention to enter festivals with this short, which I believe it is more than possible to achieve. I have already made several short films that have played in international festivals and won awards. These films have been self-funded previously, but now I wish to move on to a more ambitious project.
 
I am a feature animator by trade and have many contacts in post-production.
 
I am based in London, so ideally those that can get to London would be useful.
