SHE DID HER BEST, EXPLORES THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TWO BROTHERS WHO, FOR MANY REASONS, HAVE NOT BEEN IN CONTACT FOR THE LAST 15 YEARS. THE DEATH OF THEIR MOTHER (THEY HAD SEPARATE FATHERS) HAS BROUGHT THE OLDER BROTHER BACK FOR THE FUNERAL. HOWEVER, THEIR REUNION IS FRAUGHT WITH QUESTIONS, SILENCE AND SHARED ANXIETY ABOUT THEIR FUTURE.
*The evening following the funeral (and wake) of his mother, Ken (older brother) shows up unannounced at the family house, which is all too familiar and where he re-meets his younger brother.

Seeking a "sound professional" (with own equipment) who is patient, professional, experienced and knows how to work quickly and collaboratively. She/he must understand time and budget restraints and possess a delicious and reliable sense of humor!
She Did Her Best will be a two-day/night shoot with transportation, meals, IMDB posting and copy provided.
The actors are non-union and the producers have committed to working via improvisation; while there is no "formal script", we are already in the rehearsals- preparation stages. There will be a thorough shot list and detailed assistants.
The Actors Ensemble (www.theactorsensemble.com) is committed to assisting artists as they transition from the stage to camera performance, partnering with Non-Profit organizations to tell their stories, and will be producing four-short films a year illustrating our resolve to work with all respected and focused artisans, on both sides of the lens!
Our goal is to focus on the short genre with a minimalistic approach to small casts, simple sets and freedom to create. We are all moving towards a common goal, which is to tell a story
Looking forward to hearing from you who who can be a part of She Did Her Best and our journey.
