About the job
Above the Clouds is a fictional short audio experience. It centers around a strange storm at a small airfield near Tulsa, Oklahoma. This is a no-budget project, so the position is non-paid, but it can be completed from home in only a few hours. One thing I have to ask from my actors is that they have some way to record their voices in a relatively high quality way. There are three characters Ethan - Ethan is the younger of the two air traffic controllers. He is very eager and jumps into situations too soon. He eventually makes it out into the storm in an attempt to help, but this decision may be ill-advised. Warren - Warren has more experience, and he is more of the steady hand. Near the end, though, he begins to lose his cool, as the events get stranger and he gets pushed more and more out of his comfort zone. Pilot - We don’t get to know much about the pilot, but he is completely committed to bringing his plane safely to the ground. However, he works in junction with air traffic control, and has to make his own difficult decisions. The story is a mystery thriller which unfolds as it progresses.
