Ann Frank is out of a job as a head telemarketer after four years due to the company downsizing. Her life has been nothing but chaos since she was a little girl, then, she finds out she was adopted. She tries to find a spiritual connection with God, but can never find the right words to express that relationship. Therefore, finding love in her life is non-existent. It seems like the harder she tries to find a man the faster they run. It is a shame because, after all, she is a beautiful woman. However, Ann's past holds her back. One day Ann gets a call from her biological mom's care assistant and finds out her mom is terminally ill. Ann has been pressing her mom, Susan Frank, for months to find out what happened to her biological dad, but Susan's dysfunctional life has kept secrets a secret. Much like Ann's issues, the more Susan tries to come clean the dirtier things get. Ann gets one last visit with her mom to finally clear the air.
