About the job

Piercing Time feature-length 10-episode podcast period drama set in 1070 England.  To be recorded on Quicktime and Zoom at home during virtual recording session over one long day.  Contact Rebecca Robinson at rebeccadrobinson@gmail.com.

There are 15 male parts. 8 female parts in total. 

Male/Female roles for period drama requiring French accent and mild West Country accent. 

French/bilingual actors needed for 8 male and 2 female roles.

English actors needed with Mild West Country accent for 6 males and 6 females. 

Unpaid, credits on Stage 32 and the podcast website with photos for principal actors and consideration for future podcasts of the other parts of the miniseries.

Lead roles French-speaking Women: Isabelle (French) (21) 

Lead roles English-speaking Women: Cynewyn (23), Aelfgyva (21), Queen Edith (45), Bertana (28) 

Please submit 30-second video of dialogue that includes men and women from The Last Kingdom by July 25, 2020. 

The second round of auditions will require a self-tape and a reading from an episode, to be determined and parts will be awarded after August 10, 2020.

Rehearsals will begin in late August.  Recording session will be scheduled for the end of August/beginning of September.

The intention is to get Piercing Time produced for film and to get the other stories in the mini-series recorded on a fee-based platform.  Actors compensation will be revisited at that time.  

Women chosen for the parts of Isabelle (French speaking) and Queen Edith (English speaking) will also have large roles as narrators for the podcast.
