About the job

Hey there, My name is Chip and I recently moved to LA with my ultimate career goal to direct, produce and co-write for a major studio on big productions. I have been putting in a lot of job applications for weeks but sadly all of which have garnered zero attention from employers. I know I am not the only one in this city in this position and that's why I am making this post.

I've grown tired of trying to get on someone else's set and so I am making my own. This project will be the first of many short films. Depending on there quality, I may enter them into film festivals to gain new nominations and credits. I already own all the equipment needed to shoot a narrative production. 4k camera, lighting & sound recording. I don't care what experience level you are at, age, race or sexual orientation. I will find a position that will help you continue to grow into the creator you want to be.

I'm not blowing smoke up you a$$. Here is a link to my IMDb and personal website showing my work and my credits.

What this opopportunity is:
1) IMMEDIATELY work the position on set you ultimately want to do for a living. No more wrapping cable as a PA when you are already qualified to be a chief crew member.
2) Have sharp portfolio material you will be credited for which you can point employers to. No more credits as a PA or a background actorp which will only get you more PA and background work.
3) And I think most exciting of all, create friendships with film makers whom you can all call upon to work with in the future.

No one is getting paid, myself included. I wont ask those involved to sacrifice week day time and miss day job hours and effectively miss their bills. I imagine most shoot days will be on weekends.

Thank you so much for your time,

Hi Chip, I feel your pain. Breaking in is hard. I have scripts on hand but am also happy to collaborate with you. I'm part of an emerging writer's collective based in London - so we will find you a match or can even write to order. Get in contact. Cheers.
