About the job

We’re hiring screenwriters for Spicy Snacks™, a new mobile-first platform for serialized romance fiction. Stories are delivered in bite-sized “snacks” (250–500 words each), designed for cliffhangers, banter, and swoony binge energy.

Think of it as writing episodic mini-scenes — quick bursts of tension, intimacy, and drama that keep readers hooked and craving the next drop. If you know how to land a beat, twist a scene, or make an audience swoon in under a page, you’ll feel right at home.

What’s Next:
To audition, send us:

  • A 1-page story concept (logline, key characters, tropes).

  • 5–7 sample snacks (250–500 words each) that showcase your voice, pacing, and cliffhanger instincts.

Deadline for launch consideration: October 31, 2025.

Selected screenwriters will be commissioned for full serialized stories (15–20K words, ~40–70 snacks).

**Compensation

  • Vault Stories: $2,000 flat fee (15–20K words, ~40–70 snacks).

  • Featured Stories: $3,000 flat fee (15–20K words, ~40–70 snacks).

Additional opportunities may include Book Boyfriend tie-ins, spin-offs, or future serialized projects.

-->Full submission guidelines here.

**Open to remote writers worldwide.

Hi Kelsey, I checked out your website, SpicySnacks, and it is very cool. Best of Luck.

I left with the question, are you accepting writing submissions formatted in script, prose, or both?
