Open to Actors and others- Location needed for a very low-key, very short, Short Film (likely about 7 mins)- Preferably Mon. Dec. 18, or later that week? - LA, Valley, Beach, Canyons... anyplace in the greater LA Area I'm doing a Short Film about two people playing a Video Game in an Alternate Universe, and need a Futuristic / Artsy / Unusual room or space. Only 2 scenes; my friend enters the room, we SIT down and play the game. The story/the action is in the dialogue (the game is called "Planet Earth") We wont be walking thru or bumping all around your home, there's only 3 of us and we expect it to take only 2 hours or so. (All very minimal - we have a camera on a tri-pod and two low-Wat LED Lights the size of a laptop) If interested, you can have a location credit in the film? And if you're into performing, we'll improv something for you and PUT YOU IN the film, and credit you. This is a freelance/contract position with the potential to become a long-term partnership and part-owner for the right fit. For four weeks beginning in January, this would be a once-a-week 3 hour shift for a total compensation of $300 ($75 per session).A bit about the creator and project: Carlyn Flint is a playwright and screenwriter with an MFA in Dramatic Writing from USC and Bachelor's in Theater from Vassar College. She is also a teacher and was a 2013 Teach For America corps member in Tulsa, OK. She runs an educational business called "ARTademics" (www.artademics.com) which has allowed her to spend the past six years developing an original arts-infusion literacy curriculum."Cheetah Pickle" is a culmination of her skill for storytelling, understanding of children's interests, and built knowledge of how to teach children to read and write. This Youtube miniseries will combine humor and funky puppetry with a child-tested and classroom-proven reading curriculum. Think SpongeBob Square Pants meets Sesame Street, with a hint of Wild Kratts adventure.If you read the synopsis below and find yourself invested in developing this concept into something larger, please do reach out. Songs for the "For The Love Of Hollywood" web series I'm producing a 2D animated web series on YouTube, titled "For The Love Of Hollywood". It's a musical dramedy. A lot of songs, different genres, will be present to serve the storyline, and that's why we need originality. The genres can be cinematic, pop, energetic dance numbers (like the ones in Bollywood), classical melodies, etc... We do have composers with us, and soon singers. P.S: the position is UNPAID.
