About Gabriella

Born in Indianapolis in 1979, Gabriella Messina grew up in Northwestern Pensylvania. Homeschooled through graduation, she first applied her writing skills to screenplays, completing her first script in 2005 and taking 3rd place in the Big Apple Screenplay Competition that same year.

A trip to London during her sophmore year at college planted the seed the grew into the Yard Work Mysteries series and, after garnering high review marks and honors on , the pilot script reached the semi-finals of the Page International Screenplay Competition. In 2012, the Yard Work pilot episode, "The Memory of Trees", was reworked into story form and published online.

Currently, Gabriella is working on a novelization of her first script, "The Devil Inside".

In addition to her creative writing, Gabriella writes freelance articles for an online firm based in the UK. She has published original articles and poetry through the Yahoo Contributor network. When not writing, Ms. Messina enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.
