About Gustavo
Gustavo Palacios Pilo was born in Santa Fe on March 2, 1970. While culminating his career in Visual Arts began to study acting with Raul Kreig and Maria Rosa Pfeiffer while taking his first steps in dramaturgy and direction. After several experiences across text theater, dance and opera he created the Operetas Só Musicales company to dedicate himself to the production, creation and continuous training of new interpreters for the Musical Theater.
Since 2001 he alternates his work as a theater director with teaching at various levels. He has written more than ten musicals with Juan Candioti (mostly) and also works of text for novel actors and other forms of scenic expression.
In 2008 he received the Mascara Prize (Government of the City of Santa Fe) for his contribution to the Musical Theater. His works "Gallitrap" and "September" have been published in a book format by Tinta Libre publishing house in the city of Córdoba.
Gustavo Palacios Pilo nació en Santa Fe el 2 de marzo de 1970. Mientras culminaba su carrera en Artes Visuales comenzó a estudiar actuación con Raúl Kreig y María Rosa Pfeiffer al tiempo que daba sus primeros pasos en la dramaturgia y la dirección. Tras varias experiencias cruzando el teatro de texto, la danza y la ópera creó la compañía Operetas Sólo Musicales para dedicarse a la producción, creación y formación continua de nuevos intérpretes para el Teatro Musical.
Desde el año 2001 alterna su trabajo como realizador de teatro con docencia en diversos niveles. Ha escrito más de diez musicales junto a Juan Candioti ( en su gran mayoría) y también obras de texto para actores noveles y otras formas de expresión escénica.
En 2008 recibió el Premio Máscara( Gobierno de la Ciudad de Santa Fe) por su aporte al Teatro Musical. Sus obras "Gallitrap" y "Septiembre" han sido editadas en formato libro por la editorial Tinta Libre de la ciudad de Córdoba.
Unique traits: A solid theatrical formation combined with a casual and curious way of experimenting with certain traits of all the arts, a combination between the classical and the modern in search of an expressively unclassifiable language.
