I am an award-winning composer and sound designer. My rock musical adaptation of The Snow Queen was a featured production of the 2014 New York Musical Theater Festival where The New York Times hailed it as “A Fairy-Tale that Rocks!”
Other original musical adaptations include Scapin, and A Christmas Carol. Off-Broadway work includes The Atheist (with Chris Pine), Haymarket, and The Blowin of Baile Gall. Regional work includes By The Way, Meet Vera Stark and Managing Maxine for the Alliance Theatre. A Streetcar Named Desire and The Pillowman for New Repertory Theatre, and Richard III for Georgia Shakespeare for which he was nominated for a Suzi Bass Award.
I've been honored to take home the 2004 & 2007 IRNE award for best original music/sound design as well as the recipient of a 2009 TANNE Foundation Award for Artistic Excellence. Most recently I shared the Best Overall Design award at The 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival for my work on The Snow Queen, as well as won "Best Original Music" from the San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle for my score to "Game On" by Dan Hoyle and Tony Taccone.
