Introducing the Stage 32 Happy Writers TV Writers Fellowship
Stage 32 Happy Writers is partnering up with the Writers Assistant Network to introduce an incredible opportunity for working TV writers' assistants and support staff. Stage 32 and WAN are teaming up with agents and managers from over a dozen agencies and management companies to create a three month fellowship for ten aspiring TV writers. Eight of the ten spots are assigned to writers currently working as writers’ assistants or other support staff on TV's hottest shows, and two of these seats will be dedicated exclusively to Stage 32 Members.
Stage 32 is the world's largest online platform dedicated to connecting and educating film and television creatives worldwide. Currently with over 500,000 members in the community, Stage 32 has been called "LinkedIn for film and TV creatives" by FORBES. If you're not in the community, we highly encourage you to join today and start networking - it's free!
Who's Involved
This group will be overseen by 13 execs from the leading agencies and management companies.
Who's Eligible
We are looking for 8 talented, collaborative and passionate TV writers to take these coveted seats. We have 8 spots available and applicants must, at the time of their application, be working in the writers’ office of a WGA-signatory show (including Script Coordinators, Writers Assistants, Executive Assistants, and Writers PAs), OR working for a writer who has an active project (ie a project for which she or he is getting paid) with a studio or network.
How to Submit
Submit your 1 hour or 30 minute TV pilot for consideration.
About the Fellowship
Winners will be announced at the end of February and the group will start meeting in early March. The group will meet Sunday evenings for 12 weeks from approximately 7:00 PM PST - 11:00 PM PST. At your first group, you will meet all of the participating executives, as well as your fellowship writing peers. Each week you will work with your group to develop your pilot. During the second half of the 12 weeks, you will also be mentored by working TV writers and writer-producers. At the end of the 12 weeks, you will present your finished product to the executives for representation consideration.
NOTE: There is a fair and transparent system in place to manage productivity and attendance to ensure everyone is pulling his or her weight. Anyone failing to do so will be removed from the group and ineligible to participate in further activities. Before submitting, please make sure you are mentally ready to be put in a real professional atmosphere that will put you in a spotlight for 12 weeks by agents and managers. This opportunity is only for driven, passionate and dedicated TV writers.
