Pitch Todd Remis

Todd is looking to finance projects with attachments for $2MM and under.

MAGIC MAGIC, produced by Todd Remis

Todd Remis is an independent producer and film financier. A former Wall Street exec who made his way into film, Todd focuses on films that already have attachments and are seeking final rounds of funding. In 2013 Todd burst onto the scene when he produced and financed the American Movie Awards-winner MAGIC MAGIC, starring Michael Cera, Juno Temple, and Emily Browning. In 2016 Todd produced 3 features including premiering ALWAYS SHINE at Tribeca, where it won the Jury Award for Best Actress with a breakout performance for Mackenzie Davis, and secured distribution.

Todd followed up with another banner year in 2017 producing 7 features including festival award-winner DAYVEON, KEEP THE CHANGE, THIRST STREET, and BERNARD AND HUEY (starring Mae Whitman, Jim Rash, Bellamy Young, and Sasha Alexander).

Todd works on the finance side of film and is primarily looking for projects that are further along and are mainly seeking funding. Todd has a number of films still making the festival circuit this year and is in development on multiple projects including UNDER THE SILVER LAKE, TO DUST, and DESOLATION, the directorial debut of David Moscow (BIG).

DESOLATION was written by STAGE 32 Happy Writer Craig Walendziak after Producer David Harris discovered Craig in a STAGE 32 pitch session and recommended him to Todd Remis and director David Moscow for the project.

Guidelines

  • You may only pitch ONE project per reservation. Execs are looking for projects they can develop, NOT portfolios.
  • You should have a completed script available upon request for the project you pitch.
  • Do not reach out to the executives unless directed by Stage 32. They do NOT accept unsolicited material or appreciate being cold-called/emailed by strangers.
  • Missed reservations are not refundable and will not be rescheduled.

Live Pitches

Within 15 minutes of your scheduled pitch, the exec will reach out by Skype or Phone. Your pitch session will last approximately 8 minutes.

Written Pitches

Written Pitches will be no more than 2 pages submitted as a PDF or WORD document. Any written pitch uploaded past the deadline will not be shown to the executive and will result in a non-refundable forfeiture of your pitch.

Scorecards

Within 3-4 weeks of your pitch session, you will receive a Pitch Scorecard on which the exec you pitched will provide pitch feedback and note if they are PASSing, or would like to REQUEST your material.

If you are requested, you will be notified via email with further instructions. The execs will have 2-3 months to review your material and note if they are PASSing, or would like a MEETING. If a meeting is requested, we will introduce you via email.

Please understand that these are working executives, and their schedules are subject to change at a moment's notice. We always strive to give you at least 24 hours of notice if a session has been cancelled, and we will recommend another executive for you to pitch your material to.

Tips on pitching to Todd Remis

  • Focus on the marketing aspects. What's in the current film package?
  • Story is not the most important here. Who are the attachments? Who's directing? Who are the other producers? What's the budget? Who's on for casting?
