Nika Zholdosheva is a filmmaker and Film Festival programming manager from Kyrgyzstan.
In 2001, she participated in a nationwide essay competition on the topic "What I want to talk to you about", implemented by the First Lady of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Foundation "Meerim", and became one of the ten competition winners.
During 2001, Nika participated in a nationwide essay competition on the theme of "I will care, will you?" commemorating World AIDS Day and was awarded 2nd prize among the Kyrgyz schoolchildren.
She won two prizes in 2001, for the Republic Composition Competition held by Jogorku Kenesh (parliament) and the newspaper "Ai-Danek", on the themes "These terrible years of repression and my attitude to this tragedy" and "Whoever does not remember their own past has no future."
In 2002, she won 1st prize for the best essay on the topic "Russian language" and 2nd prize for the story "My favorite fairy tale." In addition, in 2003, she won 1st prize for an essay competition on the theme "My Motherland", dedicated to the 2200th anniversary of Kyrgyz Statehood.
Nika graduated from the Kyrgyz-Turkish Lyceum in 2007 and entered the Kyrgyz State University of Culture and Art in the Theatre and Cinema Faculty.
During 2009, she worked as a manager, then as an assistant director on the film project "Ghosts of Walnut Wood" directed by Bolot Shamshiev.
A year later, with the project "Caravan of Consent", she made a documentary short film "Osh Events" which depicted the tragic events occurring in Kyrgyzstan during 2010.
From 2011-2015 she worked as an assistant director, first assistant director and assistant producer on the historical film project "Kurmanjan Datka Queen of the Mountains".
Since 2012, Nika has been the programming manager for the International Film Festival CIS, Baltic States and Georgia "Kyrgyzstan – Land of Short Films".
During 2015, she was a participant of the International Summer Film School VGIK.
