About Jeff

After graduating from Vanderbilt University (BA, Spanish), Jeff Prugh earned an MFA from the prestigious USC School of Cinematic Arts, where his thesis film, “THOMAS IN BLOOM” (2006), played in over 20 film festivals worldwide, garnering multiple awards.

Since that time, Jeff has produced and directed two award-winning feature films. The first, “LEAVE OF ABSENCE” (2013), World Premiered at the Cinequest Film Festival and is now available on VOD. The second, “THE CARETAKER” (2016), is now available on iTunes, Amazon and more, courtesy of Level 33 Entertainment and Recreation Media.

Jeff’s other credits include producing “THE HUSTLER” for Crackle, producing, directing and editing various short films, music videos and promotional pieces, and working for the Tribeca Film Festival.

Currently, Jeff is shooting “EARLY BIRD SPECIAL”, a documentary on the process of aging, and developing “WHAT THE EYES CAN’T SEE”, a drama about blindness and guide dogs, both films under his Step Off Grandpa Productions.

Jeff loves soccer, speaks Spanish fluently, and is a licensed realtor in California and New York. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, baby daughter, and Labrador Retriever.
