About Jeremy

My passionate obsession for storytelling and the craft of filmmaking began when I was just a kid. Spending 3 1/2 years of my life undergoing chemotherapy only helped to expand my cinematic obsession. From the moment I saw "Superman: The Movie" when I was 7 years old, I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. So I began writing and directing my own movies. It started out as nothing more than camera oriented shenanigans during my time with friends, which eventually lead to my involvement with my high school's tech society, my attendance at a local career center, and then a degree in Film & Video Production from Columbia College Chicago. Which brings me to where I am today; a cancer survivor and ambitious filmmaker.

I have directed dozens of short films, including "Made of Steel" (2011), which was part of the official selection for the 2011 Illinois International Film Festival. The film also earned me the Presidential Scholarship at Columbia College during my senior year of attendance. I have also directed several music videos for various indie rock bands, written 2 feature films, "The Visitors" and "Back From The Grave", and am currently in the process of developing future projects to expand my directorial portfolio.
