About J.

I write under the name J. Franklin Evans, mostly horror, dark fantasy, and scifi features and TV-show pilots.I grew up in Georgia (USA), and moved to Northern California recently. My experience as a 'black sheep' who never really fit in growing up in the deep red Deep South continues to influence my work and my writing style.

I created and write the podcast Stories That Suck.. I also post mini-movie reviews -- mostly older movies -- on TIkTok. (@jfranklinevans)

I'm more of a feature writer than TV but I'd be open to working in television for the right show.

Unique traits: Grew up in the deep South, spending almost 25 years in Savannah, GA, before moving to Northern California. It gives my work a distinct and unique voice, especially my horror and sci-fi scripts.
