Born and raised in Metro-Detroit, Jonathan began working for one of the University of Michigan's Distance Learning Programs at the Integrative Systems and Design (ISD) division with the College of Engineering, while still an Engineering undergraduate. Honing skills editing, shooting, and encoding, as a Production Assistant, Jonathan became a Producer immediately after graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Engineering, in Chemical Engineering. Working first for the University and then as a freelance Producer, Jonathan split from academia to act, produce, and write full time. He received a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Full Sail University, where he was Valedictorian with a 3.92 GPA.
