Seeking an experienced children's animation writer to collaborate on project development.
Huge apologies that this job offer is unpaid but hoping I might find the right collaborator to develop a really fun project with great potential - can of course agree rights before we start any work.
Hi, I am the creator/writer/producer for The Opus Pocus: a series of symphonies transformed into funny, action-packed, multimedia stories helping children to discover the magic of classical music (think Asterix meets Peter & the Wolf in Disney's Fantasia with Horrible Histories). Our first musical audiobook, 1001 Arabian Nights, features Brian Blessed & Rory Bremner, set to Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade - please have a quick listen here: www.TheOpusPocus.com
I am now seeking an experienced co-writer to develop this material into an animated series. I can't offer any pay (currently I'm out of work like a lot of folks at the mo) but if this project appeals to the right person (and we have the right vibe!) it'd be great to collaborate with someone to develop this concept into a cartoon series and/or feature length animation. I don't have much experience writing for animation but I do have a strong, original concept and some great ideas... if there is an experienced children's writer interested in this project please get in touch... we can of course agree rights etc before commencing any work and pitching to any studios.
I'm represented by Jean Diamond Management here in the UK but happy to collaborate with someone from any location. Would be great to use this challenging time to create some positive, musical vibes for kids & their families worldwide!
Best wishes all,
