I know this probably isn't the best route to take, but I figured I'd give Stage 32 a try...

THEY NEVER LEFT is a feature length horror/dramedy that's been in development for some time now. However, recently we were able to get an experienced director with many feature films under his belt attached and we're hoping this helps attract producers to our project. The director attached is Jeremiah Kipp. Jeremiah Kipp's directing credits include SLAPFACE starring Dan Hedaya & August Maturo, BLACK WAKE starring Tom Sizemore, THE POD starring Larry Fessenden, THE SADIST starring Tom Savini and DRAW UP & STARE starring Oscar winner Melissa Leo and Michael O'Keefe. Penciled in as the leads (who are also producers on the film under their Abandoned House Productions banner) are Clay von Carlowitz (CUT SHOOT KILL, MY BLOODY BANJO, Lloyd Kaufman's RETURN TO NUKE 'EM HIGH VOLS 1 & 2) & Asta Paredes (the leads in feature length horror flicks SOCIOPATHA & RETURN TO NUKE 'EM HIGH VOLS 1 & 2 -- she's on the poster). GENRE: Horror/Dramedy

LOG LINE: After being dumped by his girlfriend, a down-on-his-luck alcoholic moves into an unusually affordable NYC apartment only to find out that the previous tenant isn't quite ready to leave - despite dying three years ago.

The film can be shot effectively on a ULB budget (under 200k), though of course we'd love to raise the budget a bit and shoot for modified low budget - low budget. We believe it would still be considerably less than a $1 million budget.

The script was written by me, Michael J. Kospiah. I wrote critically acclaimed feature films THE SUICIDE THEORY (2015, Austin Film Fest Award Winner, Dances with Films Grand Jury Prize Winner, 79% on Rotten Tomatoes) and RAGE (67% on Rotten Tomatoes). It has 36,000 views on Youtube with about 500 likes to 41 dislikes. It was filmed by a different director and suffers from technical deficiencies and flaws (with sound design, among other things), but the story and the acting was able to keep it above water. 

We're looking for producers who can help us find investors. We have a very talented, proven director attached and fantastic leads who've been leads in feature films before penciled in. We're aiming to surround the leads with recognizable character actors and name actors. We have submitted to other production companies and will continue to do so during the process until we find what we're looking for so that we can finally get this film off the ground.
