CREW CALL – UNPAID

LAST TENANTS – TRY-OUT SCENE

Los Angeles 

Independent filmmaker preparing a single try-out scene for the web series LAST TENANTS.

This shoot is intended both as a creative test scene and as a potential starting point for longer-term collaboration on the series.

Final crew selection for future episodes may be based on this try-out.

Project led by an experienced independent filmmaker

(IMDb Pro link available upon request). 

POSITIONS NEEDED 

Assistant Director (AD)

Must have prior on-set experience. No first-time ADs.

Expectations:

• Run a calm, efficient set (time, takes, resets)

• Keep set quiet and organized (dialogue-driven scene)

• Coordinate closely with Director, DP, and Sound

• Maintain schedule within a half-day shoot

• Comfortable with small, low-impact indie productions 

Director of Photography / Camera Operators

We are aiming for a two-camera setup (possibly three if available).

Requirements:

• Film or digital cinema camera (Sony / Canon / Blackmagic, etc.)
• Tripod
• Prime or cinema lenses
• Batteries & media 

Sound Recordist

Professional sound kit required:

• Shotgun or boom mic
• Portable recorder (Zoom / Tascam / Sound Devices)
• Headphones & cables 

Makeup Artist

• Natural, daytime character look
• Personal makeup kit required 

Production Assistant (PA)

Must be local to Los Angeles and available for the full shoot window.

Expectations:

• General on-set support (water, coffee, food coordination)

• Assist with keeping the area quiet and controlled

• Handle small errands and basic organization

• Help collect and track signed release forms

• Reliable, proactive, and comfortable taking direction

• Two actors already cast (no casting)
•  Low-impact shoot on private property with written permission
