About the job

We are looking to build a writers room to develop a pilot episode for a new comedy TV series. The episode will be filmed and the pilot will be pitched to studios once completed.

Writers need not have extensive experience, but must be open to working in a collaborative environment. This means being willing to take criticism or rejection and not have it be personal. Writing in a group is different than writing solo, and we are looking for people willing to embrace this to create something greater than the sum of its parts.

Please submit a bio and any relevant film or TV scripts samples you may have. We are looking to have interviews within the next few weeks.

Hi. I'm doing the swing I do every month or so through Stage 32 and saw this ... If you're still looking, I'm interested. I have a background in sketch comedy and stand-up, and I've written spec sitcom scripts. I co-wrote a Showtime cable film, and other scripts of mine have been optioned and won awards. I'm from NYC but I live in Nashville, TN now 'cause I'm also a songwriter -- but I'd be glad to be part of a "virtual" writers room. I've been in sketch comedy troupes and written for specific performers. I love the Neil Simon play Laughter on the 23rd Floor, based on the time when he wrote for Sid Caesar with Mel Brooks, Carl Reiner, Larry Gelbart, etc -- I would have loved to have been part of that writers room! Thirty of my (often comic) short plays have been produced, multiple times, many of them, and five of my full-length plays have been produced, mostly in NYC. One full-length play of mine was nominated for an Edgar and is published by Samuel French. You can get a sense of my screenplays at:

And if I had your email address, I'd send you samples of my work. My email address is:
