Cannabis Sociables will be the Playboy After Dark of this century; a smart, classy semi-formal mask, the envy of viewers—because Americans love shows with people they wish they knew—at parties they wish they could attend. My host persona (soft-spoken, well-raised and sharp-dressed mid-50s Yankee musician/cannabis advocate) will draw from Hefner, Carson, and Benny. A bit of Robin Leach (but not quite as stoned all the time as he reportedly was), and a dash of Tom Lehrer. No Dean Martin. Hugh Hefner made a hero of the martini; I’m going to do the same for the finest green.
