A Soldiers Vow, is a War/Romance Novel written by a very talented Canadian author named Jackie Mallet.
We have been in talks in the hopes to adapt her film to the screen. Still in the development stage we are looking to finally start moving forward with this project. We are seeking a Screenwriter who would be interested in joining the team to help adapt the novel into a production ready script. The ideal person will be Canadian but you can submit based on anywhere you are in the world. The ideal person will also have experience adapting books to film. Neither of these are requirements, so please don't let that discourage you. We still would love to consider everyone!
There is no upfront pay, However we are hoping to be pitching for grants and other funding. A mutual agreement will be reached and a contract will be signed that states you will see payment when profit has been made. We just need to actually get the script off the ground before we can start pitching!

How about a percentage of any budget raised? What you are saying is there is zero pay until the film makes a profit. Why should I devote several months of my creative work to assisting you when there is only backend offered? Not to be snarky, but you are shorting a screenwriter. I'd be interested otherwise. I have a romantic voice to my writing, an a historian, and am ex-military and could do great things with this work. You will not find many writers like me.
