Hey all, 

My name is Carole. We are planning to film an pilot for a travel show for Discovery Travel and Living Channel (Asia)  We’re currently looking for an Cinematographer and a B camera operator.

If you’re a cinematographer, Ideally you could bring your friend/assistant as the B camera operator.

About the Show and the Pilot

Inspired by Discovery Travel and Living Channel's long-running series Fun Taiwan (The program is currently in its 13th season), we’re on a mission to create a fun travel show exploring north America, called OFF THE BEATEN PATH. 

The network has ordered the pilot episode - The backroads of Alaska

It’s is a common misconception among Asian tourists that Alaska is a barren

wasteland during the winter months. We will visit Alaska during non-peak tourist

season - January to experience the authentic and fun Alaska !

There's no experience like Alaska in the winter!

About the Pay:

Since it’s a pilot and we want to archive the best, we’ve allocated most of the budget towards the production. To assist with this, most of the crew from the director to the host are contributing their time and talents for free throughout the creation of the pilot. 

If our show is ordered. We will shoot 12 episodes of content and we will continue work with you will be appropriate compensated for your work and will be guaranteed a position as our cinematographer or B camera operator for future episodes.

We currently have only $1k budgeted for the Cinematographer and the B camera operator for the early stages of this project and the creation of the pilot.

Although the pay is limited, we can work offer more than just financial compensation. 

Other Benefit & Commitment

If our show is ordered. We will shoot 12 episodes of content and we will continue work with you. 

in addition to being a part of the next 11 episodes you will also have access to the following:

Great shots for your reel. 

We will cover the following activities:

• Dog Sledding
• Ice Art 
• Chena Hot Springs
• Interview with an eskimo family

We will cover the following expense:

1. Flight 
2. Equipment
3. Accommodation
4. Meals
