About the job

My partner and I are currently seeking a producer to come on board for our upcoming short film, to be produced in Buffalo, NY this summer/fall.

We have finished assembling our cast, and have recruited a Director of Photography for the project. We have a working draft of the screenplay that is available upon request. It is 15 pages long.

We are seeking a producer to help us secure funding for the project, and to help us more fully realize this vision. If you are in or near Buffalo, we would love to have you on set for our shoot dates and pre-production meetings. Otherwise, the details of the position are open to discussion.

Brief description of concept is below:

Three strangers awaken in an abandoned warehouse where a mysterious figure requests that they pitch a concept for a new universe, to be imminently created.  They are then thrust into a debauched eternity, in which their relationships symbolize archetypal constants: one leading further into duality, and another, offering a glimmer of something beyond.

The film will be dreamlike and darkly humorous, with a surrealist flavor. Visually, we are going for a high-contrast, heavily-stylized look, with a muted color palette contrasted with occasional pops of neon light.
