Looking for a finished horror script. Any subgenre. Should be able to be produced on a low budget. Minimal locations and few VFX.
My work online displays some previous horror productions, the latest which won lots of awards at festivals including several Best Film awards.
Dear Colton,
I've got a script that's contained and tight in scope called Last Light of Day, with some uniquely spectacular visuals that could, depending on the approach, be achieved very cost-effectively or very expensively. It's a survival horror project along the lines of Open Water or 28 Days Later, with a sci-fi angle and a STRONG visual hook:
When the Earth's atmosphere is mysteriously turned into an energy-sucking cloud that swallows light, three strangers will struggle to survive while civilization disintegrates around them.
Three quarters of the movie is probably going to be shot on a soundstage, but you will only need one. The other quarter is exteriors centered around a car, and none of them are too ambitious. Overall, the whole approach will probably be very 70's, along the lines of The Warriors or Assault on Precinct 13.
Does this sound like a project with which you can present and establish your directorial aesthetic and style? If so, please drop me a line.
Best regards,
