LOGLINE: A late night cleaning lady physically confronts a thief trying to steal her favorite art gallery sculpture.
Lead: Marta (Female, 25-45, Latina) Dance experience required (pref. Ballet). Spanish accent a plus. Martial arts training a plus.
-Marta has seen her share of troubles. Born to a privileged family in Managua, a fighter in the revolution, a survivor and now an undocumented immigrant working under the radar in the US. She cleans office buildings on the graveyard shift, including a small art gallery. She is forced to take action when a thief attempts to steal the ballerina statue she adores.
Lead: Miguel (Male, 20-30, Latino, Tall)
-Miguel was brought to America from Mexico as a child. Like Marta, he’s illegal, but culturally American, and feels unwelcome in this hostile, racially divided land. His survival response is angrier, more aggressive. He believes the lesson of life in America is to take what you need.
