THE POSITION:

Do you know how to produce top-quality videos, from concept to completion? Is photography a passion of yours beyond just a hobby? Are you able to bring something to life through the use of visuals? Do you have experience combining photography with words in a journalistic format? Do you like the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment? • Supervising, producing and developing a variety of videos from original concept to completion.
  • Making still photographs for displays, publications and other informational materials for use across the bureau and the city.
  • Working with managers, supervisors and other staff to understand bureau functions and then come up with creative, visual content for informational purposes.
  • Creating a visual library for the bureau.
  • Using digital storytelling techniques – including graphics – in order to convey a strong message about BDS work.
  • Having a high level of knowledge around the use of industry standard software, including Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut Pro or comparable products that allow for the creation of quality videos and photographs.
  • Conducting research to assemble print photography and videos that can be disseminated to internal and/or external audiences.
  • Updating the bureau website with assorted visual content, including multi-media videos, photographic slideshows and other materials.

The resulting eligible list from this recruitment may be used to fill the current and future vacancies.
