About the job

We are looking for actors to play a role in the upcoming production Murder in a modern Babylon.

a 20-minute proof of concept for a Mini-series.

Detective Miles Dalmas is trying to track down the killer of an innocent girl he befriended the previous night. But when the police hold him back, he must decide what he is willing to do to bring the killer to justice. This film is being made as part of a masters project at Bournemouth University.

Miles is a detective constable, trying to solve Lily Kings murder. Miles
begins the story optimistic, but when he discovers the lengths the
police will go to hide their mistakes he becomes disillusioned; must a
what he is willing to do to solve the case. Must be able to provide smart attire (white shirt, black trousers & shoes etc.)

Lily is a nice but fragile young girl who is just coming out of a relationship and is unsure about how to handle the situation. She is the only true innocent in the film. Must be able to provide own clothes (casual) and be comfortable with having prosthetic make-up applied.

Sophie is a person who has made many mistakes in life (having a past of frequent arrests) and she feels that her sister (Lily) was the only person who had faith in her when no one else did. She wants justice for her sister no matter the price.

Peter is Lily's ex-boyfriend. While outwardly charming, Peter has a ver old fashioned attitude towards relationships and often belittle's his partners. He also often carries out affairs while in relationships. Must be able to provide own clothes (casual).

Chief inspector Powell oversees criminal investigations and is frustrated by the state of the world today. He has no trust for journalists or do-gooders and works to ensure his departments meets the expectations of those at the top. Must provide own clothing (white shirt, black trousers ans shoes etc.)
