WEG is casting for a Director (preferably with voice actor contacts) to direct our supernatural crime thriller pilot script for audio production. The full script is approximately 60 pages.
If we respond to your submission, please be ready to sign an NDA and to also provide a few basic ideas of how you’ll see this project to completion once provided the script and character profiles. Please note that all potential candidates MUST live in or around the Los Angeles area and have directing experience with voice actors.

The Dark Artist is an hour-long supernatural crime thriller television series that follows a Hispanic pre-teen named Ivan that discovers he has a gift and a curse which derives from a dark ritual in 1800s Guadalajara, Mexico. Ivan must solve the remaining questions of how he was cursed, who can help and how to hone this power while fighting the darkness surrounding him and his family and how to navigate being an outsider in a new town and middle school.

Required Experience
• At least 2 projects directing voice actors
• Experience directing episodic content
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written, presentation)
• Must be highly organized and self-motivated
• Dedication to meet project deadlines in a timely manner
• Ability to break down the script by character, by scenes, beats within each scene and determining the flow of the voice actor’s performance as well as the correct edit and cut.
Preferred Experience:
• Knowledge of top social-media platforms (including podcast) and how to best distro our content.
