About the job
••• Short Documentary: Call for Participation (Prague or remote) ••• French screenwriter Sophie Bouvier and I are working on a short documentary entitled "It Wouldn't Be Fun if It Was Easy". This film — about pleasurable memories in a currently rather dark world — consists of short interventions by people from different countries and backgrounds. Unfortunately, we cannot tell you more at this time. We contact you with the request to participate — to answer one (or two) question(s) on camera. The choice of clothes and locations will be yours (unless you prefer us to choose the location) so that you feel comfortable. Filming would take place in late August/early September, in Prague and, as we said, in locations suitable for the speakers. However, a remote participation is possible (via FaceTime). Contributions can be in any language that suits you (with a slight preference for English, French or Italian for the reasons of later subtitling). Thanks, It Wouldn't Be Fun if It Was Easy (production title only) Genre: short documentary Written by: Sophie Bouvier Directed by: R. G. Karkovsky Produced by: Sophie Bouvier & R. G. Karkovsky Running time: 7-12 min The crew Sophie Bouvier || Writer & Producer Author of the original concept, Sophie Bouvier is a researcher, writer and former screenwriting teacher. She wrote the screenplay for the short film, Le dernier bastion (2006, dir. Lewis Cuthbert-Ashton) and is now working on several television projects. She also teaches French theater and film at the university level. This film is a second artistic collaboration with R. G., after the screenplay of Boston Fly & Twenty Years Old Machete (pre-production). R. G. Karkovsky || Director & Cinematographer True European citizen, R. G. Karkovsky is an exhibited photographer, director/cinematographer, award-winning writer, and college lecturer of cinema, literature and media. R. G. began his film career in 2019 by writing and co-directing his first short film, French-language mockumentary Les Nuances de la longévité. Sources indicate he is addicted to coffee and music. rgkarkovsky.myportfolio.com
